
Wanting to keep the Spring Weather rolling in, we went on the hunt for another Spring like cake. Kelly has a love for Key Lime Pie, so I put together a Key Lime Cake recipe from a few I found online. Hope you get a chance to stop in this weekend and give it a try. Very moist, tart, and sweet! Great combination.

Key Lime Cake from New Market BBQ
This Yummy tart but sweet treat is a great dessert to bring in Spring! Simple to make and absolutely delicious!
Recipe Ingredients:
How to Prepare:
- Preheat Oven to 350 - Prep your baking pan - if you've had our weekly cake specials, you know I like to keep it simple and prepare sheet cakes. For a crown, it's the best option!
- In a large mixing bowl, add cake mix and gelatin and softly beat to remove lumps.
- Add Oil, orange juice, and eggs and beat till smooth. Add Key Lime Juice and Vanilla and again, beat till smooth.
- Add some Key Lime Zest for a little extra boost of flavor.
- Pour into lightly sprayed cake pan and cook for approximately 25 minutes, checking to be sure it doesn't over brown the edges, until toothpick comes out clean.
Frosting Instructions
- Blend room temperature butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
- Add confection sugar and blend till smooth. Might want to add 1/2, blend, and then add remaining.
- Add Key Lime Juice and Vanilla and blend till smooth.
- Add some Key Lime Zest for a little extra boost of flavor.
- Frost a Cool Cake and refrigerate until ready to serve.
